Mom, Edith and TheBobJ at the Zoo |
This picture was taken at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. Several years ago mom and Edith came to Omaha and this was one of the places we took them to visit. The biggest visitor attraction in the area is the Zoo. This picture is in the lower level of the jungle building. Boys Town is another major point of interest in Omaha that they visited. It was a great week with both sisters in Omaha and one that we all enjoyed. Even with all the walking at the Zoo they both had a good time at seeing all the animals. When I found this picture in early December I just happen to notice that I had the same shirt on as in the picture. It is a favorite, and we know how hard in is for a guy to pitch a favorite shirt. The Henry Doorly Zoo is a great place to visit and take pictures of some exotic animals. I have a site on Zing with some of my favorite pictures from the zoo. Just use the Link at the bottom of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This picture was taken at our home at 1236 South Peoria a long time ago. The little saylor suit was made by grandmaw Johnson and was one of my favorite outfits. I also liked cowboy outfits and boots as you will see in some future pictures. This picture proves that I was cute at least one time during my life. All the old pictures that I have been going through sure bring back a lot of memories. However, I don't have many pictures of the Dillberg family and friends during the early years.with. If you have any old pictures of family or friends I would like to borrow them to use on this site and to work on a family album to put on a CD. I will scan the pictures and return them to you with a file in jpg format. Any size picture , slide or negative will work, as I have a second scanner now that will do it all. Check out the link below to get your own 20MB of free webspace? From rocky shores to wetlands to open areas - Isle Royal has it all. It is a great place to visit and enjoy nature. On the 13 mile hike discussed last month we walked through this wet land area. Several sections of the wet lands had long narrow boardwalks over that wet area. They were better than being in the water, but you felt that you were going to step off into the water most of the time. We will put a shore line picture on the page next month. If you want to see more Isle Royal pictures now, go to the bottom link in the Favorite Link Section below.
